my sleep schedule is so screwed up because of work…

a little detail: I work breakfast, so in order to set up every day, I start work at 2AM, meaning I get up at 1AM, and I work all the way through until 11AM.

because I’m on a 4 week on, 1 week off roster, I do that for 4 weeks straight.

I got home yesterday. was up until about 8PM.. woke up dead on 1AM.. and now I can’t get back to sleep.. it’s going to take days to get a decent sleep, and then I’ll be back at work….

Managed to do up the reference image for the new OC, I’m mostly happy with how he came out. I could tweak a few things, but they’re really minor.

(this seriously has to be the best I’ve drawn a pony yet, lol)

So after thinking a bit more on the character, I decided to do up a sketch of him.

this is pretty much what he’ll look like, sans armor of course (I drew the neck too long, but was cbf fixing it when I ended up noticing it. I’ll fix it when I ink/color this for use as a ref image)

Cutie mark still needs to be properly done, but I’ll do up a vector image for it when I get home tomorrow. (the stars have to be accurate, the positioning is deliberate..)

So I’m conceptualizing a new OC for my librarian-pagewhisper blog..

(character will be a guard in the city, this is for further down the line, but I’ve wanted to work on him for a while..)
also, before anyone starts, ya, ya, I know.. pony creator.. but I find it handy to give me a basic idea before I go running off to pursue a character I want to work on.

most of his elements I’ve pretty much pinned down how I want them. (his mane and tail will be different to the ones here, naturally, I have plans for them, but these are pretty much the closest)

my biggest problem is the secondary mane colour, I just can’t seem to think of one that would work properly.. gah

This was the first combination.. I felt the colours just didn’t work that well for me here..

though it still doesn’t feel quite right.. bah. I’ll probably mess with it some more tomorrow, Unless someone has some suggestions..

as a final note, here’s a quick throw-together of the direction I’m taking for the cutie mark. (of course, not even near to final, but it’ll be close, positioning of the stars is a big part for it, they’re not correct atm)

Definitely. It’s the same thing anywhere you go really.
I can wear my pony gear in the suburb I live in and no one even looks twice.
If I drive to one 20 minutes away (which I have to for cosplay stuff time to time) oh jeez, no end of grief from people as I walk around. (I mean, sure, the place IS packed with bogans after all, but still)

She’s my favorite pony but not doing so well with the backers.  From what I can tell, you back them, and when they get enough backers they make the product and send it out… but right now Maud doesn’t have a lot of backers… so it’d be cool to get more . If they don’t get enough, they refund your money.

It’d be great to have a Maud Plush so I’m going to post this here and just hope for good things to happen

Hmm, site’s an interesting idea, though I worry they’ll get hit hard on copyright fairly quickly, esp considering pokemon and MLP fans have pretty much all the current ideas available.

(not super keen on the idea of them taking money up front, would rather see them take it when the backer numbers have been fulfilled, but I guess this way ensures you actually have the money to pay)
